Maybe then you have a problem with the connection from battery-minus to the mass of the car. There is a thick unisolated cable which sometimes breaks loose by vibration.
BTW your link doesn´t work

I have a 528i from 1985.I drove 30.000 km without problems and now i have a big problem. It started a few weeks ago.Sometimes at the rpm is falling down and i have to go from 3 gear to 2 gear.My radio is also going out. After going down in gear the problem was gone. But wen i start the engine and the rpm meter is going down without driving you can't get it lose anymore. When you put the pedal to the metal it sounds like fireworks and it feels like its running on 4 cilinders.
Most of the time they had to pull me lose because starting was not an option.
Last week the was not going over 2000rpm.after that he was stottering.I turnd off the engine and sinds that time he won't at all. Some one told me thefuel filter had to be replaced so i did but the problem is still there.I am desperet.
please help me.Sorry for my bad englisch but i'm a dutch guy.
