english is no problem))
is no big thing to change from LE-jetronic (this system is used in E 28)
to motronic,as they are quite similar.
all you need are the complete cable-bus from motronic,
digital distributor from motronic (LE-jetronic got dynamic one)
the special motronic flywheel with scaling for ignition point
transmittor, the transmittor itself and a compatible gearbox (no problem as
most ones are prepared yet).
then you need the electronical components as there are air-mass-messuring-unit,
motronic-box (the computer).
depending on the generation of the used motronic you will also have or not to
use a lambda-oxygen-sonde.
thats it.

That sounds quite easy.

The simpliest way is maybe using parts from M30B35 engine with motronic
(E28 535i), most of it should fit without any corrections. Is that right?
Btw, this version of motronic has still a mechanical distributor...

the effect: motronic works much better, as ignition is digitally worked out and
so the character will be smoother and softer, the injection part is (nearly)
the same as jetronic, so this won't influence very much.
and most times motronic equiped ones guzzle (consomme) less petrol.

The chip inside of the electronic box should be designed especially
for a particular engine, otherwise the advantage may not take effect.
But the M30B25 engine was never fitted with motronic. Is there any
source for chips?

Hi Markus!

Sorry, but I am not good at speaking and writing English, but I try to explain to you my opinion on this case.
In your case it`s easier to change the engine in return for an engine with 170 PS (Bosch-Motronic) from a E34 525i or E30 325i. As well as I know you can exchange the engine without big problems, but I don´t guarantee for it.
